A last shot for Republicans to kill the EV tax credit?

LAST CHANCE TO TAKE ON THE EV TAX CREDIT: Debate over how to handle the electric vehicle tax credit might find a foothold on Capitol Hill during the lame-duck session, with dueling Republican bills having been introduced over the last few months and a new coalition launching today to tackle the issue. Some Republicans, led by Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), want to terminate the $7,500 credit, saying it costs taxpayers billions, largely benefits wealthy Americans and is no longer necessary to help the industry. The next few months would be the last chance for GOP lawmakers to push through legislation to kill the credit — Democrats gearing up to control the House next year are prepared to defend it.
