The Iowa Transportation Commission approved $1.5 million in funding for four public transit projects statewide through the Public Transit Infrastructure Grant Program.
The North Iowa Area Council of Governments in Mason City was approved for $200,000 for the replacement of insulation and a vapor barrier for transit facility storage and maintenance area.
The Siouxland Regional Transit System in Sioux City was approved for $238,434 for an automated bus wash.
