DHL Supply Chain announced Tuesday it now owns and operates 50 Orange EV yard trucks and is one its was to its way to owning 50 more.
The first shipping company to deploy a heavy-duty Class 8 electric truck, DHL said it will continue to take action toward supply chain sustainability goals through a broad range of measurable green logistics solutions.
DHL was Orange EV’s first customer in October 2015 and their first re-order a year later. Orange EV electric yard trucks are now in operation at more than 30 DHL Supply Chain sites across the country. The move is part of DHL’s commitment to phasing out diesel yard trucks by 2025 and reducing logistics-related greenhouse gas emission to net zero by 2050.
