China’s first self-developed driverless train to open in Hong Kong

Driverless trains developed by a domestic company will start operating on a new subway line in Hong Kong by month’s end, reported China Daily Asia.

A fleet of 10, three-car driverless trains, manufactured by CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., will run on the the MTR rail network’s South Island Line, a four-mile project launched by the government in 2007, according to the report.
