Korea Plans Eco-Friendly Fuel Conversion for 140 ships by 2030

The country’s Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries explained that a customised eco-friendly ship conversion plan would be implemented for each unit based on the type, size and operational characteristics of the vessels.

A part of these ships would be converted to run on liquefied natural gas (LNG), this change would encompass units with a total of over 200 tonnes, while smaller ships would be converted to use electric or hybrid propulsion.
