J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. set a new goal to reduce its carbon emission intensity 32% by 2034, the company announced Nov. 14.
The Lowell, Ark.-based transportation and logistics company will focus on three key areas to reach its emission-reduction target. The company plans to incorporate alternative powered equipment into its fleet, expand the use of biogenic fuels and improve fuel economy on diesel-powered vehicles. Its goals are based on a baseline of 2019.
