White House Still Pushing Social Infrastructure Policies, Buttigieg Says

President Joe Biden conceded during a recent press conference that a key aspect of his domestic agenda would not proceed on Capitol Hill in its current version.

The nearly $2 trillion Build Back Better Act lacks the requisite support to advance in the U.S. Senate, despite its approval last fall in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The Senate Democratic caucus has been unable to solidify support from its ranks, in particular Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona.
