The company is already working on that first step, as it develops a software fix for the flight control system believed to be connected to two recent crashes. But rebranding? Several industry experts say that doesn’t make much sense. “If these airplanes are revised, recertified and do what they’re supposed to do, which is fly reliably and economically, their service life is the initial expected 30 plus years,” airline industry analyst Robert Mann said.
