European regulators eyeing January for MAX return

EU REGULATORS EYEING JANUARY MAX RETURN: Patrick Ky, EASA’s executive director, said the plane will likely be back in the skies in Europe in the first quarter of 2020, Reuters reported on Monday. The European regulator is expecting to give the OK in January, but airlines and individual countries there could take longer to work out their own processes. Boeing has said it wants the MAX flying again by the end of this year, and the FAA, which has primary responsibility for reviewing the manufacturer’s fix to the grounded jet, is continuing that work.
