Administration’s airline plan meets resistance on Capitol Hill

The White House took its $850 billion proposal for a coronavirus stimulus, which includes $50 billion for the airline industry, to Capitol Hill and was met with resistance from both sides of the aisle. Several Senate Republicans said they don’t like the idea of bailing out big companies, and Democrats said they want to make sure legislation benefits workers and consumers over CEOs.
