GAMA applauds introduction of Advanced Air Mobility Act

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) applauded the introduction of legislation designed to coordinate the federal government’s response to advanced air mobility.

On Friday, U.S. Reps Sharice Davids (D-KS) and Garret Graves (R-LA) introduced the Advanced Air Mobility Coordination and Leadership Act. The legislation would build a framework around the introduction of electric aircraft into the national airspace.

“Advanced Air Mobility is an emerging sector of the aviation industry which has the potential to facilitate new transportation options, create jobs and economic activity, advance environmental sustainability and new technologies, and support emergency preparedness and competitiveness,” GAMA President and CEO Pete Bunce said.
