The ship repair sector, ever so important, due to the need not only for maintenance but also retrofits, has experienced another challenging year. In its latest weekly report, shipbroker Intermodal said that “moving towards the end of 2021, the ship repair sector ends up unfortunately with the same uncertainty we had while ending the previous year. Of course, the market is more familiar with the raising difficulties and prepared to manage the pandemic but at the same time, it is far from the “normalcy” we knew 2 years ago.
