Washington D.C. DOT to invest $10M in road improvements

The Washington D.C. District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be investing $10 million to improve the safety of intersections and roads.

Funds will be used to install curb extensions, medians, and other enhancements to reduce aggressive speeding.

As part of a Vision Zero Summer Safety Campaign, $5 million will be used to rapidly deploy safety improvements for pedestrians and cyclists, add automated enforcement cameras, and install driver feedback signs alerting drivers when they are traveling too fast.
