IT’S INFRASTRUCTURE WEEK: No, really. The official Infrastructure Week put on by a group of trade associations, unions, think tanks and companies kicks off Monday. It’s well timed. The event comes as attention in D.C. is already squarely focused on infrastructure, with developing talks between Democrats and the White House, who have agreed to pursue a $2 trillion deal.

Those talks have fueled optimism among infrastructure advocates. The Chamber of Commerce has been hyping the ongoing discussions as potentially on par with the agreement between Ronald Reagan and Tip O’Neill to raise the gas tax in 1982.
