New Boeing whistleblower catches attention on Capitol Hill

ANOTHER BOEING WHISTLEBLOWER COMES FORWARD: The company sidelined a safety system on the 737 MAX to save money, according to a senior engineer’s complaint reported by The New York Times on Wednesday. According to the story, Curtis Ewbank said that when the MAX was under development, some engineers wanted to study adding a system on the plane that gauges airspeed, but an executive decided against it. The company has sent the complaint to the Justice Department, which is investigating the MAX’s development and certification.
