FAA’s certification process under scrutiny

IG INVESTIGATING FAA: The Department of Transportation’s inspector general is investigating the FAA’s approval of the Boeing 737 MAX, according to the Wall Street Journal. The inquiry will be focused on the agency’s Seattle office which certifies the safety of new aircraft, and officials in that office have been told not to delete any emails or other documents connected to FAA’s decision not to require extra training for a new automated sytem in the planes.
