NJ Transit commuters could lose 25% of rail service during Amtrak repairs

Amtrak President Wick Moorman said during a New York State Assembly hearing that NJ Transit commuters could lose up to 25% of their rail service in and out of Penn Station during 44 days of summer track work by Amtrak, NJ Advance Media reports.

The number is the most detail that has been provided about promised service outages resulting from Amtrak’s plan to rehabilitate tracks and switches in Penn Station.
